Cécile Plaisance abandoned her career in finance over 15 years ago to dedicate herself to her passion: photography. Through her lenticular photos of Barbie dolls or models, she denounces the patriarchal and religious influence on the lives of women: “At a certain point in history, men began to fear the power of women. And patriarchy was born. And religion too. The perversion and misinterpretation of religious texts imposed codes of modesty on women worldwide. Today, after thousands of years of repression, women can emerge from their shells.”
